Nomination for a Thames Water Spotlight Award
Gavin Pearce; the Performance Improvements Manager of Eight2O has shone a spotlight on the Mogden Combined Heat and Power (CHP) team by nominating them for a 'Spotlight on excellence' award.
This nomination is for our collaborative working and the production control methods that Franklyn Yates Engineering were part of during the successful execution of the Mogden CHP Project. See below for details of the nomination.
Why do they deserve this award?
The project was delivered 3 months early which was a huge benefit to Thames Water through power generation. Fantastic collaborative working with the whole team.
What makes them/their initiative extra special?
Using collaborative planning and production control to really focus the team and manage the project. Measuring productivity through Percent Planned Complete (PPC), making it visual and using the T card system.
What results support this nomination?
Project delivered early TW CHP Specialist David Linsell; 'This team is the most effective I have seen in any project over the last 30 years. Making excellent use of the collaborative planning tools to engage all parties to the project. The team have maintained a firm focus and drive to deliver on time without sacrifice to quality. I am impressed that each and every potential blocker to progress is addressed head on. All projects should be this good. Excellent'.
How do they fulfil our values?
Passionate about delivering the project for Thames Water. Great collaboration between the supply chain, Eight2O and Thames Water which included the Mogden CHP operations team. There was focused collaboration with weekly and daily team progress reviews.
The Mogden Team are an 'A' Team. They inspire and lead by example. This is the way to successfully deliver projects!
