Greenbank delivers a new lease or tractor winch systems

Edited tractor

Greenbank’s ability to deliver engineering excellence and manufacturing flexibility is demonstrated here as we near completion of a contract to refurbish 20 tractors, specially modified for use in the power generation sector.

The winch systems were first introduced into service on tractors in 2005. Now, thanks to Greenbank, they are being given a new lease of life thanks to a comprehensive refurbishment that has included a complete hydraulic overhaul of winches and capstans fitted to the tractors.

This has included the replacement of valves, cylinders, and pipework to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, new brackets have been designed, manufactured and rigorously tested prior to undergoing FEA analysis, before being fitted to the existing winch frames which have also been shot blasted and repainted,

A new Emergency Stop (E-Stop) system has also been integrated, enhancing safety and compliance with modern standards.

This project ensures that these winches and capstan system are restored to peak operational efficiency, extending their lifespan and enhancing their performance in the field.
