Large-Diameter Feed Solution for Water Treatment Plant

Invercannie

A large diameter feed solution for water treatment plant, manufactured and installed by Franklyn Yates Engineering Limited (FYEL) set to play a key role in the upgrade of water treatment works that serves around 300,000 customers in North East Scotland.

FYEL is supplying a bespoke large-diameter feed to a sand filter at the Invercannie WTW in Aberdeenshire as part of a wider refurbishment programme.

The project aims to improve water quality and increase capacity while reducing the risk of pollution events or loss of supply in the event of plant shutdown.

Part of the Greenbank Group, FYEL has a proven track record of delivering innovative engineering solutions to the water industry, and the Invercannie project is the latest in a long line of contracts with clean and waste-water plants across the UK.

Steve Walker, FYEL Project Manager, explained: “In recent months we’ve been involved with a number of high-profile projects in the North East of England and Shropshire.

“While our contribution to this scheme has been limited to the design, manufacture and installation of a 1,000mm feed pipework, the contract demonstrates our ability to work in partnership with key contractors to deliver key components for complex projects in demanding environments.”
