Acquisition of H&H Services Ltd Industrial Weighing Division

The Greenbank Group UK Ltd, based in Woodville, Derbyshire are proud to announce that its subsidiary Greenbank Materials Handling Limited has acquired the trade and assets of the Industrial Weighing Division of H & H SERVICES LIMITED based in Kirby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

The Industrial Weighing Division of H&H Services Limited, specialise in industrial weighing and control equipment for materials and bulk handling systems. The products offered by the Industrial Weighing Division give Greenbank Material Handling Ltd the ability to provide continuous weighing solutions in addition to their core activities, these being the enhancement of material flow in bulk solids handling, and as such the ability to offer turn key materials handling solutions.

The new business will operate as H&H Services, a division of Greenbank Materials Handling Limited and all key personnel will be transferred to Greenbank. The original H&H business will change its name to reflect the acquisition.

The Group Managing Director, Charles Conroy, commented,

“This acquisition is an exciting enhancement to our Materials Handling business. It will help the business not only diversify but expand its customer base. It will also provide the opportunity to offer larger and more comprehensive turnkey services to both existing and new customers.”

“The acquisition reinforces the development of the Group which has been significant over the last few years. All areas of the Group will benefit from this acquisition, including the manufacturing unit based in Woodville, the Systems Division which now has the ability to supply state of the art continuous weighing products into power plants and the R&D venture ‘GAIM’ which can begin to develop the measurement and control equipment associated with the H&H Services Division.”

The acquisition is another achievement in what has been a wonderful year for the Greenbank. Group UK. Not only was the Company awarded Derbyshire Business of the Year 2008, Derbyshire Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 and the Queens Award for Enterprise for Innovation 2008, it has recently been awarded two regional East Midlands titles being; Business of the Year 2008 and Innovation Through Technology 2008 and will go on to represent the region in the national finals in November.
