Greenbank win 2008 Queen's Award for Enterprise - Innovation Category

The Greenbank Group UK Ltd, based in Woodville, Derbyshire are proud to announce that they have received the highest of commendations and royal recognition for their innovative boiler optimisation technology.

The Group scooped the innovation category award by combining an ecologically sound strategic approach with cutting edge technology, that allows coal fired power stations to generate more electricity with less coal, improve emissions and reduce potential landfill from the residual ash.

The award acknowledges the Greenbank Group’s significant contribution in the fight against global warming, by helping coal fired power generation both in the UK and globally transform its environmental credentials.

Since founding its research and development division in 2000, Greenbank has gone from strength to strength, providing greener solutions to the increasing demands of industry. The group, having successfully developed its own product range and formed partnerships with major international power suppliers, now offers a range of optimisation products unrivalled by any company anywhere in the world.

The award is the jewel in the crown of Greenbank’s 10th anniversary celebrations since its successful management buyout. Also this year the company was nominated Derbyshire Business of the Year 2008 and Managing Director, Charles Conroy was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year.
