Greenbank Advanced Instrumentation and Measurement (GAIM) is a Joint Venture formed between the Greenbank Group UK and the University of Nottingham. It is fundamentally a research and development company but operates as a consultancy service supporting the Greenbank Group and its customers in the Power Industry.
The company specialises in the development of novel equipment that can be used to characterise, measure and control two-phase fluid flows in the power generation, fossil fuel, cement and steel sectors.
It has facilities to study and measure the characteristics of two phase flow using the latest laser technology. Techniques also used to study two phase flows are complimented by a unique test rig and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineering capabilities. It also has access to numerous experimental facilities, mainly based at the University of Nottingham.
GAIM and Greenbank Terotech’s Systems Division work hand-in-hand to provide engineering solutions to the power generation industry and associated industries. Greenbank Terotech in turn has license to market, sell, service and support all products and technologies developed by GAIM into the power sector.
As well as having the ongoing role of investigating, characterising and provide solutions for two phase flow problems, it has an ongoing policy to improve existing and develop new products for the Greenbank Group.
